How much it costs
The first year start-up fee for brick and block laying is $885, and each year after that there is an additional annual fee of $790. You'll receive a prompt-payment discount of $100 each year if you pay before your due date. Read more about fees and payment.
What you'll learn
You'll learn the skills required to be a qualified brick and block layer.
The compulsory part of this qualification covers:
- health and safety
- measurement and calculations
- tools and equipment
- installing concrete block components and reinforcing
- installing bricks
The elective part of this qualification covers:
- structural brick walls
- precast chimneys
- laying concrete paving units.
The National Certificate in Brick and Block Laying Level 4 requires that you attend off-job training.
