How long it takes

The National Certificate in Concrete Construction: Placing & Finishing Level 3 typically takes 2 years to complete.

How much it costs

The first year start-up fee for concrete construction is $1,105, and each year after that there is an additional annual fee of $790. Read more about fees and payment.

What you'll learn

You’ll learn the skills required to be a qualified tradesperson in concrete construction.

The compulsory part of this qualification covers:

  • health & safety

  • measurement

  • placing and finishing decorative concrete

  • concrete industry operations, plant and equipment

  • site preparation

  • curing.

The elective part of this qualification covers:

  • reinforcing

  • cutting and drilling

  • placing and finishing decorative concrete

  • testing defects and remedial work

  • specified flat concrete.
