It's even better with the APP

How to get a StudentCard

All new BCITO trainees will receive a  StudentCard flyer with your apprentice resources – BCITO supplies your card for the first year. If you don't receive this flyer please call BCITO directly (0800 422 486) – say you are a new BCITO trainee and that you are wanting to sign up for a StudentCard discount card.

You will need to go online and upload a picture of yourself to appear on your card. Once you have done this, your new card will arrive by mail.

Free for the first year

BCITO pays for the first year for all new trainees, but you'll need to renew it each year thereafter. StudentCard will contact you when it is time to renew; it usually costs about $20 per year.

Why it's a good idea to have a student ID card

Apart from getting discounts, having an official student ID proves that you are studying or undertaking a qualification. The back of the card will also include your NSN from NZQA. If you're opening a student bank account, some banks may require additional proof of study.
