Training opportunities for supervisors and managers

BCITO doesn’t just offer apprenticeships – we also have qualifications for supervisors and managers who want to upskill or have their experience recognised.

BCITO employers discuss the benefits of upskilling staff.

Have your existing experience recognised

New Zealand demands that you can prove your expertise and guarantee the quality of your work. If you've worked in the industry for years but have no qualification, BCITO can help you get a professional qualification to recognise your existing skills and experience.

New Zealand Certificate in Construction Trades – Supervisor

This qualification is suitable for builders and other specialist tradespeople already working as supervisors in a construction-related trade to formally recognise your current supervision skills.

New Zealand Certificate in Construction Trades - Main Contract Supervision Level 5

This qualification is suitable if you're working as a main contract supervisor. You will need to have already completed the National or New Zealand Certificate in Construction Trades (Supervisor) qualification, or demonstrate equivalent knowledge and skills.

Quantity Surveying or Construction Management

If you’re ready to put down the tools and take a step up in your construction career, the New Zealand Diploma in Construction can help you get there. Courses start three times a year, and with no classes to attend, all of your study is online so you can study when you want, where you want to.
