Celebrating Success: Apprentice Graduation in Christcurch
On 13 May, the Richmond Club in Christchurch came alive with celebration as 35 apprentices crossed the stage to receive their qualifications. Joined by around 170 whānau, friends, employers, and supporters, the night was a powerful reminder of the collective effort that goes into every learner's success.
Graduates completed qualifications across a wide range of trades, including Carpentry, Brick & Block, Painting and Decorating, and Level 5 Supervision. For many, this achievement represents years of hard work, dedication, and determination, and for their whānau, a moment of immense pride.
Guest speaker Vai Punivai shared words of inspiration on the night, and a special thank you goes to Amanda Zieltijes for honouring each graduate by reading out their names.
Events like this remind us why our mahi matters. Every qualification represents a person stepping confidently into their trade, ready to contribute to their communities and to an industry that needs their skills more than ever.
A huge congratulations to all 35 graduates, and thank you to everyone who helped make the evening such a special occasion.
