Celebrating Wellington's Newest BCITO Graduates

On Friday, 26th June, 100 BCITO graduates from across the Wellington region came together to celebrate the completion of their qualifications. More than 300 guests, including whānau, friends, employers, and colleagues, joined them to mark this significant milestone in their careers.

Addressing the graduates, Jason Hungerford reflected on the commitment it takes to complete a qualification. He reminded graduates that their certificates represent the skills, resilience, and dedication they’ve built, and the real impact they can have in strengthening communities.

One of the most memorable moments of the afternoon was seeing father and son John and Jesse graduate together. Former BCITO Industry Advocate, Verina Jones, now with Glass and Glazing NZ, described it as a powerful reminder that the trades are built on passing knowledge from one generation to the next.
