Earn as you learn

An apprenticeship means that you can earn as you learn and not have to worry about a student debt.

You can find out more about costs by referring to either Fees Schedule 2024 or 2024 Off-Job Training Fees. For more information contact the team at BCITO.

You could also be eligible for fees free. Apprentices and other learners may be eligible for free fees under the Fees Free scheme. To check if you are eligible, all you need to do is visit www.feesfree.govt.nz just make sure you have your National Student Number (NSN).

How long will an apprenticeship take?

The length of your apprenticeship depends on the range of skills you can learn with your employer, and how quickly you master them. The average length of time is 3-4 years. It is common to change employers to gain the necessary skills to complete your apprenticeship.
