What you'll learn

The compulsory section of this qualification covers:

• drawings and job documentation
• measurement and calculations
• tools and equipment
• planning and communication
• making up orders for materials
• knowledge of timber
• labelling packing and stacking prefabricated timber products.

You must also complete at least one of these strands:

Wall frame manufacture

• cut and assemble wall frames

Roof truss manufacture

• cut and assemble roof trusses
