Graduation - Blenheim 2025

Eight apprentices marked the successful completion of their training programs at a special graduation ceremony held on Wednesday evening. The event, which attracted approximately 45 attendees, celebrated achievements across multiple trades including Carpentry, Painting and Decorating, Joinery, Flooring, Concrete, and Brick and Block.

Mayor Nadine Taylor attended as a guest speaker, offering words of encouragement to the graduates as they prepare to enter the workforce as fully qualified tradespeople. Representatives from REAP, who assist in delivering the popular "Walk in Wednesday" evening drop-in sessions in the area, were also present to show their support.

The ceremony highlighted the importance of vocational training and apprenticeships in addressing skills shortages in the construction and building maintenance sectors. Friends and family members gathered to celebrate the accomplishments of these eight individuals who have completed their professional qualifications.

"These graduates represent the future of our local trades industry," said a spokesperson for the event. "Their dedication and hard work over the course of their apprenticeships will serve them well as they move forward in their careers."
