Graduation - South Auckland 2025
Local Apprentices Celebrate Success at Graduation Ceremony
The apprenticeship graduation ceremony was held at Waipuna Conference Centre in Mt Wellington on Wednesday, May 7th. Nibbles and drinks were served from 6-7pm while people arrived, and the ceremony started at 7:00pm.
The event was well-attended with 200 people supporting 37 candidates receiving their certificates. Every graduate thanked those who supported them through their apprenticeship.
Team Building Activity
The South Auckland team, with help from 4 Pasifika staff from Earnlearn, made Lolly Leis during their team meeting prior to the event. This turned out to be a fun and effective team building activity.
Strong Family Support
One notable highlight was a Pasifika family who had 23 family members turn up to support their graduate.
Diverse Qualifications
The graduation included a well-balanced mix of qualifications and ethnicities among the graduates. Five candidates cancelled last minute, but the diversity of the group was still evident.
Organizational Support
The event received full support from the local team, even from those who had no graduates that night. Senior staff including Greg D, Vai P, Daniel F, John C, Ali Wright and Soloman Daniel also attended, providing additional support for the ceremony.
