Our industry, and the people in it, have faced huge challenges this year with the COVID–19 pandemic. Now more than ever, it is important to celebrate and acknowledge the achievements of the women in construction, as they continue to step up to the challenges and beyond.
The Excellence Awards are set to celebrate women at all career levels and all sectors within the construction industry. We invite nominations and entries from women from across the sector, both members, and non-members.
Awards categories in 2021 are:
- Helen Tippett Award
- Tradeswoman of the Year
- Professional Woman of the Year
- Rising Star
- Excellence in Construction Administration
- Outstanding Achievement in Design
- Student or Apprentice Excellence Award

3 February 2021 Entries close 5 pm
10 March 2021 Judging Day, by phone interview, please be available on this date along with your referees.
28-29 March 2021 Notification of Finalists
7 May 2021 Awards Presentation Event held at the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron, 181 Westhaven Drive, Westhaven Marina, Auckland 1011.

The Building and Construction Industry Training Organisation (BCITO) has set a record of 16,000 apprentices in training.
BCITO is to complete post-COVID construction workforce forecasting for NZ. This is one initiative of TEC's Workforce Development Council/Transitional ITO COVID-19 Response Projects.
