What is the Painting & Decorating Apprentice of the Year about?
Master Painters New Zealand Apprentice of the Year in association with Resene Paints recognises excellence among the specialised trade of Painting and Decorating.
The award raises awareness, not only within the Painting and Decorating fraternity but also with customers and the general public.
This competition will find the most well-rounded apprentice taking into account, and testing for several aspects, not only your trade skills.
What's in it for me?
Not only will finalists and friend/partner experience an amazing Master Painters conference with all expenses paid, but they also receive some fantastic prizes.

Employers of all finalists - you'll be able to market to your customers that you have an award winner working with you who was trained under your expert guidance.
Who can enter this competition?
Painting & Decorating apprentices who:
- are employed by, or contracted as a painter & decorator at the time of the Master Painters Conference on 7-9 June 2018 and
- have completed at least two years of their National Certificate in Painting & Decorating on-site by 31 January 2018, or completed their apprenticeship between 31 January 2017 and 31 January 2018.
