Royals meet talented future leaders

On Tuesday, 30 October, seven BCITO apprentices and qualified professionals had the opportunity of a lifetime.

On the invitation of Prime Minister Jacinda Arden, these seven deserving and high-achieving tradespeople attended a reception at the Auckland War Memorial Museum for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex as part of their visit to New Zealand.

Jessica (Jess) Moverley from N Cole Ltd and Bryce Taylor from Complete Build Ltd were lucky enough to be invited to the event. Bryce commented, “This was a mean experience, we met Harry and Jacinda for about three or four minutes. Everyone just talked about why they were there and our future business plans and about how we are influencing younger people to work in the trades."

It’s great to have BCITO apprentices recognised for their talents and to showcase the trades to the Royal visitors and the people of New Zealand
