We have been proactive in making sure that high school students can continue to complete Building, Construction, and Allied Trades Skills (BCATS) activities and worksheets electronically by distance under the current unprecedented circumstances. They are available now for Level 1, 2 and 3 learners at bconstructive.org.nz Students can continue to work on their projects once schools re-open.
Rather than focusing on any one trade, Building, Construction, and Allied Trades Skills (BCATS) programmes build skills and an understanding of all trades in the construction industry. They also develop literacy, numeracy and communication skills and contribute to NCEA qualifications. Students who participate can go on to consider apprenticeships in a variety of construction trades.
