Allan has worked in the construction industry since he was 17. He started on the tools, before completing a Bachelor of Construction. After studying, he worked as a Q.S. for a main contractor but soon realised his passion was for the interiors trades.
He started with Simple Solutions Interiors in Auckland in 2002. Allan then moved to Queenstown in 2005 to set up his own interiors company. Then in 2010, he moved back to Christchurch to do the same. He’s been all over the country and had a 'mint' time doing it.

Connor Whitely-Sua was recently named the winner of the Stage 3 Flooring Apprentice of the Year. He also took out the ultimate prize of the evening, the Supreme Award, becoming the nation’s top flooring apprentice for 2018.
