We work in partnership with schools, employers and industry to help build a skilled construction workforce for New Zealand. We manage apprenticeships for more than 15 trades.
BCITO is covering driver’s licence fees for all BCITO Gateway students, setting them up for success in the trades.
Built for students, teachers, and job seekers, myBCITO is a digital toolkit that will help tāngata start an apprenticeship, access online tools to get work-ready, build their portfolio and track achievements all in one place.

For young builder Riley Betham, who had his driver’s licence fee paid for through his BCITO Gateway programme, it’s also been the key to finding a rewarding job beyond school.
Traditional classroom learning doesn’t suit everyone, particularly those who love getting hands-on. That’s why the BCITO Gateway Programme was introduced. With the aim of giving students a taste of the paths available in the construction industry and practical workplace experience.
