Building Whānau
Te ao Māori views people and homes as our sacred treasures. In order to build both we need to have a greater goal, whānau who believe in us, and employers who care.
Listen to three stories of Māori apprentices living this.
Ko te whānau te āhuru mōwai o te oranga.
Family is the heart of our purpose.

Karalee cares for each person as a whole
Karalee
Karalee is an employer who values Māori for all they are and bring. Her partner Quincy says when staff genuinely know you care for them, they’ll move mountains. And so will she.

Josh has a greater goal
Josh
Josh believes in finding your why. For him it’s making time for whānau and starting his own business one day. Don’t look at the mountain peak, he says; just take the next step.

Te Hurinui has a Whānau who believe in him
Te Hurinui
Te Hurinui says his Dad and Kuia’s belief in him pushed him to keep going, even through tough times. One day he wants to take other Māori apprentices under his wing, and uplift them too.
