A Community Celebration
The graduation ceremony, held at a local Auckland venue, was attended by more than 120 supporters, creating an atmosphere of pride and accomplishment. Employers, work colleagues, friends, and family members gathered to celebrate the achievements of these newly qualified tradespeople.
"The level of support around all the graduates was truly remarkable," noted a BCITO representative. "It shows the strong community bonds that form throughout the apprenticeship journey."
Diverse Range of Qualifications
The ceremony honored graduates from multiple trade disciplines, including:
- Carpentry
- Supervision
- Kitchen and Bathroom Design
- AAJ (Architectural Aluminum Joinery)
- Glass and Glazing
Each qualification represents thousands of hours of practical work, theoretical learning, and dedication to craftsmanship.

Tributes
In one of the evening's highlights, several graduates took to the microphone to express gratitude to those who supported their journey. Many shared touching stories about the role their employers and families played in helping them achieve their qualifications.
These heartfelt speeches reinforced the collaborative nature of trades training, where success depends not only on individual effort but also on the guidance and support of experienced mentors and understanding family members.
