John Cole

John leads a team of nine area managers from Taupo going north to Kaitaia. They are responsible for the delivery of the service level agreement to support and assess the progress of all learners in the construction trades. A key part of this is communicating and responding to employer needs.

John joined BCITO in 2014 as area manager South Auckland for seven years before moving to his current role which is also based in Auckland.

John holds both a diploma in business management and military management (majoring in organisational behaviour). His leadership career began in the South African Navy where he served on mine sweepers and submarines for 18 years. John is a 2018 Leadership New Zealand (LNZ) Alumni.
