We are now seeking your nominations of Glass and Glazing apprentices for the upcoming awards:
The Allan Sage Memorial Award is in remembrance of Allan Sage and will be presented each year to an apprentice who has attended their final Off Job Training Course after the 1 April 2023 and are either completed or still in training but must be still working as a glazier or glass processor in the glass industry at the time of entry.
The Glass and Glazing Most Promising Apprentice of the Year award is presented to the most promising apprentice who has excelled their Stage One block course after 1 April 2023.
If you have an eligible apprentice who you believe is deserving for either award, please complete the relevant nomination form attached to this email and submit back to me by 5pm Friday 3 May 2024.
A judging panel will review all nominations as well as receive feedback from the nominee’s, employers, and BCITO Training Advisor before making their final decision. The award will be presented on Friday 21 June at Te Puna O Waiwhetū, Christchurch Art Gallery with all tickets, travel, and accommodation costs for the winner and a plus one covered by BCITO.
