These prestigious awards not only recognise individual achievement but also highlight the importance of investing in quality training and development. By celebrating the best in the industry, we inspire future apprentices to aim high and ensure a strong, skilled workforce for years to come.

Nomination forms are online this year and include the following sections –

Once your online application is complete you can email lachlan.mitchell@bcito.org.nz with any additional documentation you wish to summit.
For Apprentice of the Year applications only, the project submission is the apprentice’s chance to showcase skills, experience, and achievements as a Glass and Glazing apprentice with a portfolio of work. It provides the judges with a clear picture of why you deserve to be the Allen Sage Glass and Glazing Apprentice of the Year.
What to Include –
Work: Share details about a current project or multiple projects worked on.
Photos & Media: Include images, videos, or other media that highlight work and craftsmanship.
Complete your online written submission then email lachlan.mitchell@bcito.org.nz with your compulsory project documentation.
The Apprentice of the Year winner will receive a $1,000 cash prize, generously donated by Windows & Glass Association NZ.
The Most Promising Apprentice will receive a $500 cash prize, generously donated by Windows & Glass Association NZ.
BCITO will cover travel, accommodation, and tickets to the awards dinner in Auckland for the winner and their plus one.
If you have an eligible apprentice who you believe is deserving for either award, please complete the online nomination form by 5:00pm Wednesday 30 April 2025.
